The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) announced that its nationwide network of Patent and Trademark Depository Libraries, which includes Wendt Commons, will become known as Patent and Trademark Resource Centers starting October 1, 2011. The name change signifies a major shift from the USPTO's traditional “paper depository” model to a new focus on electronic information access and training.
